Make moving cursor on iPhone easy again

I know this has been discussed awhile ago but still no fix. It’s become easier to just delete everything in your search bar and retype everything to just edit one word.

When I select on a specific point in the search bar to move cursor it may highlight the word or keep going in the wrong spot. And if I need to move the cursor at the beginning it deletes everything. It’s like I have enormous fingers.

This mostly happens in safari or google search bars.
