Buy AppleCare+ after 60 days

I bought my iPad recently and am located in Singapore.

Currently the AppleCare+ is available to buy within 60 days of purchase.

However I would like to check if I can purchase AppleCare+ after 60 days (nearing the end of 1 year limited warranty) provided my iPad still passes the diagnostics/inspection test?

This is to maximise the coverage duration since AppleCare+ coverage starts from day of purchase of AppleCare+ plan.

I do understand that there is a risk that I might have accidental damage before I purchase AppleCare+, but what if my device still passes the diagnostics test after 60 days. Is it possible to purchase the plan?
