Apple Watch lost

my watch was lost/stolen a while back. However, last night I got a notification that it was at my home. Was this a glitch?? It got my hopes up that it was found

Perhaps it was a glitch. Try playing a sound and see if you can find it.

I went all around looking for it. It will say connecting and sound playing but I hear nothing. They need to fix this because I was excited about finding it. However, im still confused how there was a connection all of a sudden, it’s been raining and snowing since then
