There’s a faint red light right next to the top speaker that blinks every 4-5 seconds. I searched it up and someone said it flashes when a microphone is being used but I’m not on a call nor is there any apps running in the background that uses a mic or camera. I feel like I’m being spied on. Can someone tell me what this is about.

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware if it is updated to the latest iOS/iPadOS unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious software or unauthorized apps directly from the internet and installed on your device or/and have Jail Broken.

Actually, I think that the OP is referring to the proximity detector that turns the screen off when you hold the phone to your ear while on a call. But there’s a lot of stuff up there, and it could also be the Attention detector or the Face ID scanner IR light source.
