AirPods Pro and AirPods (or any other earbuds that I know of) aren't designed for use in water sports like swimming, or for showering. For more info, see:

Right, I now learned bluetooth doesn’t really work under water anyway. Seems like there is not an Apple product for this niche yet. Sony Walkman mp3 are looking like the only option. I’d love to see waterproof AirPods with internal storage and easy uploading from iPhone.

though personally the whole way speakers work, water would be an ennmy
it's a membrane of light material cloth or fiber, like which moves back and forward to push air resulting in sound,
both the material and how sounds works under water would be challenges.
We’ll just have to keep highlighting use cases to spark their interest. Imagine waterproof AirPods with some internal storage that you move music/podcasts to in an app on you iPhone, like with a GPS Apple Watch.
You would still run into the problem that Bluetooth cannot transmit under water.
They’re ear buds with the mp3 storage built in, so no need for a supporting device.
I doubt Apple will ever make such a device.
Not interested.
LOL!

Thanks! I’ll look into it.
Great points. The water proofing may be impractical in other situations making this use case too specific for a broad audience product. Thank you.
