Will using Find My to erase my stolen MacBook Pro erase my Carbon Copy Clone Drive I'm using on an older MacBook?

Hi, I had my MacBook Pro stolen tonight and I want to erase my drive to protect my data. I have a Carbon Copy Clone of the hard drive that I am using to change my passwords etc.... my question is if I use Find My MacBook Pro and chose to Erase It will that affect/erase my clone or is the process pointed at the particular MacBook Pro hardware and won't touch the hard drive clone...

in desperate need of clarity...quickly.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Hello Shane Ruggieri1,

We hate hear about your MacBook, but glad you had a copy of your data. To answer your question, you are correct. You can erase the MacBook Pro, and it will only go to that one device.

You reached out to us using article If your Mac is lost or stolen, and that would be the correct article to continue following.

If you have further questions, let us know.

Cheers!
