iPad Air 4 Touch ID broken

I’ve had my iPad Air 4 for 2 months and the Touch ID is no longer working. I haven’t dropped it and have no idea how the crack on the power button showed up. Would apple cover this since the iPad is only 2 months old?

In that situation, it doesn’t appear to be a matter of choice.

Meaning that they’ll cover it? I’m also worried it could be an issue that they don’t sell this model anymore

We can't tell you whether it will be covered under warranty as we are all users on this user to user only forum. Apple will make a determination based on their evaluation of the iPad. As to why they don't sell the Air 4 anymore, it's simply because they introduce a new model every year and now they have replaced the Air 4 with the Air 5, with the very same Touch ID power button.

Thanks for the comment. Was wondering if anyone dealt with this before and could speak from experience. And I do know why they don’t sell the air 4 anymore but my fear is that they won’t replace my air 4 since it’s no longer sold and try to get me to upgrade to the air 5
