What is last/highest compatible version of Chrome/Chromium for Mac Mini 2010 [Intel Core 2 Duo] ?

I have some Mac mini 2010 intel core 2 duo with decent RAM (12GB) and SSDs

I am trying to use Vivaldi or Brave as MOST BUT NOT ALL modern sites load in Safari (Mojave 10.14.6)

What is the last/highest version of Chrome/Chromium I can run on this hardware ?

tia, Ross

PS I had some suggestions about Vivladi but I can't anything over 3.7 to run on this hardware.

Apparently Chrome bases its requirements on the OS a Mac is running; if the Mac can run that OS (10.11), then the hardware is sufficient. The Mac I was running Chrome on is an Early 2008 MacBook Pro C2D 10.11.6. I say "was" because I tried updating it from 98.something to 100 and the update failed. Their solution was to uninstall and download new, so when I uninstalled I decided to try Brave instead. If Brave isn't working for you, I'd still recommend Chrome, as you don't have a lot of options.

(Patched) Mojave 10.14.6.. my experience was Catalina ran okay initially but turned into a real dog (slow) over time.

I didn’t think Big Sur (and now Monterey) would work any better but let me know if you think 12-16GB and an SSD (Samsung 870 QVO) would be enough to run these - I think graphics is the limitation with the Intel Core 2 Duo..

I understand Vivaldi and Brave are based on Chrome/Chromium but like I said I didn’t get much beyond Vivaldi 3.7 and a fairly older version of Brave - e.g. Vivaldi 5 installed but just opened a blank window - didn’t even loaded the browser ‘chrome’ i.e. buttons/address bar

But will it run on this hardware? I know google announced they cut support for anything before Intel Core 2 Duo a couple of years back.. but they never said what the state of play is now - as mentioned above my experience with Vivaldi and Brave was a ‘blank window’ - are you running Chrome 100 on a Mac Mini 2010 - if so what OS version ?

some others experienced same thing between versions - it is strange because you wouldn't think there's a difference between the Nvidia graphics chips (8600m GT for MBP 2008 vs 360M GF) - unless something happens with Patched Mojave - I don't think I'm bothered going back to High Sierra just to get this working.
