How to turn off/sleep Studio Display?

I have a MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max connected to the new Studio Display, mostly in clamshell mode, for the life in me I can't find a suitable/reliable way to turn the monitor off, even when I click 'Sleep' nothing happens. One time I wish Apple was just a bit less minimalistic and had some type of button. Anyway else have this issue? I find shutting down to be the only practical solution, which is far from practical.

Hey TJGowda,

The new Apple Studio Display is powered through the included Thunderbolt cable. So, if you'd like to turn it off without powering off your MacBook Pro, you'd just want to unplug it from your Mac.
