Why can't I use the native resolution of my 2021 14-inch Macbook Pro?

I paid for a high resolution screen but can only use half the screen? How do I set the XDR Retina Display to 3024x1964?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.3

Greetings, Carlos.

To start, you’d want to ensure that you are using a Mac that is compatible with your display.

“Compatible Mac models

Pro Display XDR supports a resolution of 6016 x 3384 with 10bpc on these Mac models:

Then, you can change the resolution.

“Change the resolution of your display

Your Mac automatically chooses a default resolution that is optimal for your display. To change the resolution:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
  2. Click Displays. If you have multiple displays connected, click Display Settings, then select your display.
  3. Select Scaled, then select any of the four or five scaled resolutions, depending on your Mac model. With scaled resolutions, text and objects can appear larger and more visible, or smaller to provide more space for windows and apps.” Using a Retina display

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.
