How do I know the charge status of my Apple Pencil?

Hello,
For the 1st gen, you need to move the Pencil to turn it on, or plug it into the iPad. Use the Battery Widget to see the percentage of your iPad, Apple Pencil, AirPods, and other things.
For the 2nd gen, you can connect the Pencil to the side of the iPad and there will be a charging animation. It will show the percentage of the Pencil.
If you don’t want the widget, you can connect the Pencil, then go to Settings> Apple Pencil and the percentage is shown in the list of settings.
