logitech slim folio keyboard space bar not working

Logitech just provided me with a new keyboard because I reported that my space bar was no longer working. I just unpacked the new keyboard and I have exactly the same problem. I did some reading on this board and I see that others have reported similar problems and that it does seem, after all to be a software problem at Apple's end, rather than with Logitech. For instance, right now I am typing this and the space bar works, yet if I try to write something in a Pages document, the spacebar doesn't work - and the same goes for writing an email in yahoo or gmail. Any solutions, please?
