Will Apple let me trade in my MacBook Pro for the same model?

So last week, I suspected water damage to my macbook pro m1. It wasn't spilled on the keyboard or the ports. It was around the trackpad area. I was just focused on drying the MacBook.

I took it to an Apple store and they ran the diagnostic, got positive results. They said there was nothing wrong with the diagnostic. I also had their technician open the MacBook up and look at it. He said he didn't see anything.

Right now, I have Macbook pro 13' m1 2020

I want to trade it in and get the same model, but with 16 gb ram.

Will apple let me trade in for the same model?

Also, I'm not 100% sure if no water got inside the MacBook. if something happens in the future, will I have to pay back the trade-in value?
