Can't send or receive emails

I have a MacBook Pro with Monterey 12.2.1. Yesterday something happened and now I can't send or receive emails. If I click on "Mail" I get that spinning color globe and then I have to "Force Quit". Is there some easy fix to this dilemma?

Holding the Shift key when you launch the Mail.app is like a safe/soft launch to test.
