There is a “Lifeboat” connector on the Logic Board of the 2016/2017 MBP, Apple or AASP can use a specialty blackbox device to attempt to access the SSD data.

FYI, There is no "Life boat" connector for the the 2016-2017 non-Touchbar model as the SSD is removable.

OWC did not have any adapters or enclosures listed (at least when I checked a month ago).

The OP or an AASP will need to get access to another MBPro 2016-2017 non-Touchbar model or the laptop needs to be repaired in order to access the SSD.

Users should always have frequent and regular backups of your computer and all external media (including the cloud) which contains important & unique data.

Edit: Apple has known device to access this SSD except for the Logic Board itself.

Other possibilities—

With the SSD drive removed from the dead Mac, install it on the working Mac of the same vintage ...

The SSD drive will boot up from the working Mac.

Connect an external drive and copy your data from the SSD drive.
