so, I followed turingtest2's guide on uninstalling and reinstalling everything apple-related on a PC.

(Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Wi… - Apple Community)

and now my iPad can access my iTunes library via home sharing. but it still doesn't appear in iTunes..

I got a singular prompt to modify files on my iPad after I reinstalled iTunes and connected it.

(link above, you can see footage of the prompt)

and now, I can access my iTunes library from my iPad. but, it only lets me access it when it's connected to the PC.

all I wanted to do was transfer some music to an iPad.

in case it's needed;

iTunes version: 12.12.3

iPad software version: 15.3.1

iPad model name: iPad Air (4th Generation)

Windows Version: Windows 11

If the device is visible in iTunes when connected then you probably did this at the same time as you pressed Continue in the video, but otherwise here is one way that might fix a connection to iTunes issue:

See About the 'Trust This Computer' alert on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support and reset your trust settings. Unlock your iPad, connect to the computer, respond positively to the trust request on the device.

If you want to be able to add content to your device without a physical connection to your computer see Sync iTunes content on PC with devices on Wi-Fi - Apple Support, or set up a subscription to either iTunes Match or Apple Music.

I tried doing this, but nothing changed. I believe the issue is a missing driver. Specifically, the “Apple Mobile Device USB Driver”.

I tried fixing the issue following the steps outlined in this article

iOS device not showing in iTunes for Wind… - Apple Community

but to no avail.

Isn’t there some kind of way i could reinstall it or something?

anything..?
