Original download for Mac

So I downloaded Origin on my Mac and shortly after I did I started to get a kernel panic. After talking to multiple Apple Support people, they told me to completely erase everything to make sure it’s not some software issue. Everything works fine now that I did that and I re-downloaded everything except Origin. I would really like to play my video games but I’m afraid to download it again given that it was causal to the kernel panic. What should I do?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.1

you should verify you have a robust backup strategy if it goes sideways—

3-2-1 Backup Strategy: three copies of your data, two different methods, and one offsite.

the simplest—Back up your Mac with Time Machine: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201250

Hi,

No one can tell you what's going to happen if you download Origin again. It could go either way. You won't know unless you try, so you'll have to decide if the potential risk is worth the reward. Personally, if I wanted to play their video games badly enough, I'd give it a try. Worst case scenario is having to erase again.
