Apple Music has been crashing repeatedly for several weeks. Sometimes when just searching on Apple Music, but it will crash consistently if I search for something in my library that is not there, the red "search Apple Music" button shows up. Every time I press it the app crashes.

Try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music which opens it in safe mode and can sometime repair odd issues with the library.

Reboot your router and computer. Disable any VPN. Check for malware.

Thanks for the suggestion tt2. So I opened in safe mode. After following the same steps, searching for something in my library and pressing the red button "search Apple Music" now I get this all white screen over most of Apple Music window that only disappears if I clear my search text. I closed Apple Music and opened normally and now crashes again. Ugh.

I did that. No malware or viruses detected. Same buggy Apple Music behavior.
Not quite the same problem. But this new version of Apple Music has been quite buggy in several ways for me. Hoping a update is coming soon!
