I can send Emoji on my iPhone but on my MacBook Pro, it stopped working. It now sends a msg saying

"Cannot Send Message. MMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send this Message"

I only have the problem on the MacBook with non iPhone users

Hi DawnSR13,

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Wondering which MacBook Pro Model you are using,

and

which MacOS version is installed.

Seems like you are sending the messages via the phone carrier, (i.e. via SMS or MMS)

and

not via wifi / modem using MacBook Pro's "Messages" app ?

(SMS (Text) doesn't send images (unless they are made from the keypad) ... but MMS (Media) does. send images / photos etc

Apple support have articles online that may or may not help.

You may have this set-up ?

You may want to check the Messages set-up / preferences on your Mac Book Pro:

Send a message on Mac – Apple Support (AU)

Note: Sending images and GIFs isn’t available in all countries or regions

Use Memoji and #images in Messages on Mac – Apple Support (AU)
