Solicitation calls from checkmarked "verified" iPhone numbers

I'm getting lots of calls these days from carrier "verified" calls notated by the checkmark, that end up being solicitation calls or scams. Anyone else experiencing this?

All that "verified" means, as best I understand it, is that the caller is not spoofing the number (making it appear that a different number is calling than actually is). The check doesn't mean that the people making the call are verified or honest or ethical. Block the number

Agreed. I block them all, but the list is getting so long that I’m starting to wonder if there’s a max # of blocks you can have.

The list is only limited by the amount of space on your phone. And, as a phone number takes up very little space, you're unlikely to have a problem.

Just curious if others are receiving as many I do.

Spam is a fact of life, whether it's in the form of email, phone calls or text messages. If you don't get a lot of calls you want from unknown callers, you might consider enabling Settings>Phone>Silence Unknown Callers. You may also want to see if your carrier offers any sort of call blocking app. The one I have from Verizon has cut down a lot on spam calls. Now If I could only get rid of the spam texts.....
