Google doesn’t open while adding gmail account
iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 15
Not sure what 'cause of problem' is there now. ~Other information
online could help; if you can find pieces, & fit together some actions.
• Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
//support.apple.com/en-us/HT201320
• Mail - Official Apple Support
You may have to try & settle on adding email account Manually.
If needed, the above main page shows, "Mail Lookup Settings."
Following is mentioned separately; does include an in-article shortcut link:
"Don't see your email provider? tap 'Other' to add your account manually."
Sometimes with gmail, you'd have to 'enter details' until something sticks.
• Gmail - Email by Google on the App Store (for iOS iPhone/iPad)

For my iPhone, it's been easier to use 'Google Gmail App' & more than one
gmail account can be loaded; then switched quickly, without extra logins.
(Google services has made big changes to their user environment, too.)
Figure if the Apple Mail login setup, seems unable to comply; a browser can
be helpful to login. ~ Or in the case of iOS, Google has a good iDevice app.
Had considered 'Google as default Mail' in macOS; but they weren't helpful.
Some of my older macs still use newer secure browser login for gmail now.
