Auto detect of screens - Left / Right

When Universal Control is first set up, it will auto-detect where the other Mac/iPad screens are - left or right.

However, after this, if I log off and start again, it will always remember the last position of the next screen - even if I have changed to another side.

It seems that the Mac in control will always remember the last setup and does not auto-detect everytime it resumes to connect to the other guys.

Is there a way to 'enable' auto-detect? It will be helpful and certainly very cool if it knows the other screens have moved and change the location accordingly.

I haven't found a way to get Universal Control to auto-detect

It seems that the first time it's used between a Mac and an iPad, it depends upon you to select which edge of the screen on the Mac leads to the iPad. And the Mac will remember the same arrangement, the next time you use Universal Control.

In order to change the arrangement that the Mac remembers, I need to go into System Preferences -> Displays and -- on the arrangement shown there -- manually drag the image of the iPad to a different position. Here's my current arrangement:

To get this, I had to drag the iPad image under the external display (after dragging the MacBook Pro's image from underneath over to the left of the external display).

And yes, (unless I want to change the arrangement Yet Again), if I take the iPad away for a while,I have to put it back where it was when I bring it back next to the MacBook again.
