USB-C lightning cable

Can you use the USB-C cable that came with iPhone 13 to charge an iPad (6th generation) or will that damage the battery?

Yes. you can, without causing any harm to your iPad or it's battery.

The charger doesn’t “push” power; it just supplies the power “drawn” by the device.
