Installing Basic Tools RTI on Mac Monterey
I've downloaded the payetools rti...osx.pkg but cannot see how to run it. I open it and it just asks to reinstall. What am I doing wrong - be gentle with me I'm not teddy

"64-bit Intel/AMD compatible versions of these operating systems are supported" clearly indicates that M1 systems are not supported.

See this page: https://www.gov.uk/basic-paye-tools
Do you have an M1 Mac mini? It may not work on Apple Silicon. I didn't see any information on the page on how to seek help.
"You must be registered with HMRC as an employer and have a login for PAYE Online before you can use Basic PAYE Tools."
Are you registered?
"Use HMRC’s guide to downloading and installing the software if you need help getting set up, or want to check if your computer can run Basic PAYE Tools."
Have you read this?
You probably need to ask whoever maintains the tool. Double clicking on the .pkg is usually sufficient to install it.
That's where I git the download from but still stuck
Double clicking just asks to download it again....
Yes I have it installed on an old Windows PC and use it without problem. I now want to use it on my Mac instead.
Yes its a Mac mini, and it Monterey...
I have the exact sane problem - have you managed to resolve it?
Unfortunately it still isn't getting to the Start/Run phase, just sits on my desktop and reinstalls the software. Looks like I have to stick with Windows....
Same with me. I've just downloaded the latest Monterey software update and re-downloaded the RTI software and still no change. Thanks for letting me know. If I make any progress I'll post an update.
I just checked the "help" section of the gov.uk guidance and it clearly says Monterey is supported. Tried the helpline, and after 5 mins of pressing options it said they were too busy!!
That makes sense as I downloaded it on my old Mac and it worked fine. Hopefully they will issue an update before too long.
