too easy to inadvertently mute iphone (se 2022)
Since it already has a mute switch would prefer volume down and up buttons make only incremental changes when pressed and held. Any way to make that adjustment?

That is not a “mute” switch, that is a ring/silent switch - you can play a video or music and toggle that switch on and off and notice that it does not silence the media. Pressing and holding a volume button should increment/decrement it by one level and after a second should continue either raising or lowering the volume, depending on which volume button is held down. I have been on iPhones since 2012 and that is the way it has always been.

Thanks. Good point. I'll take it as a no to my question.
