Can't Delete Email Account

I'm having problems setting up an email account on my iPhone 11 (15.4.1). I go and delete the account from mail and do a hard reset and the account is still there. How do I delete it?

What is the error message? And is this account an alias of another account you have on the phone? And has it ever worked?

Also, go to Settings/General/VPN & Management Profiles and see if there is a profile for it. If there is you may have to delete the profile, and get an updated one from your email provider.

How did you delete the email account? Settings/Mail/Accounts, tap on the account, then tap Delete and confirm?

Did you get an error message when you deleted it?

Then restart your phone→Restart your iPhone - Apple Support, and add the account back in Settings/Mail/Accounts, being sure to enter passwords for both the incoming and outgoing [SMTP] server.
