Videos randomly pausing

I setup voice controls and then the issue started, before this it never happened. Turning off voice controls did not fix the issue. It is not an internet buffering issue. The videos I’m watching will randomly pause after a few seconds, doesn’t matter the platform (YouTube, TikTok and even my Library movies and shows saved to my device.) I did a reset on the device, an Ipad air 2. (Up volume, down volume and hold power button until apple logo appears.) that didn’t resolve the issue either. This happened before I updated to to the 15.4.1. Patch.

Let's start off by testing on another network: Connect to Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

For the videos saved on your device, do you currently have Optimize iPad Storage enabled? Your can check by going to Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Photos. Also, if you go to Settings > Accessibility, is anything else enabled?

I went through each of your suggestions and none of it worked. I even went and used my phone’s hotspot to test for internet connection. I noticed after I originally posted the thread that the sound cuts off on some other apps as well. They’re not media apps with videos but they have bgm that cuts out. As I stated above this only started happening after I set up voice controls. All my devices are apple products and this was the only one I set up voice control on. It’s also the only device having this issue.

nothing is turned on in Accessibility. And there isn’t an optimize option that I can see. I used the search bar at the top of the settings to look for it but all it does is pull up photos.
