Mac mini running 12.2.1 no longer recognizes my HP u28 4K display using USB-C. It works fine using HDMI port but nothing but a black screen with USB-C. It did work for the first few weeks and then stopped one day. Changed USB-C cables, mini ports, restarted, lit a candle and prayed to Cupertino, but no change.
Ideas?

macOS Monterey 12.2.1 is outdated. Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support to macOS Monterey 12.3.1.

Thanks. Updated to 12.3.1. no change. The external display has input on HDMI but does not detect any input on USB-C.
Some other users have reported same issue. No solution yet
