I have recently bought an AirTag and wanted to use nfc shortcuts with it. I have an iPhone SE (2nd generation) and have been wondering why my nfc shortcuts option is missing.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. To confirm, you're not seeing NFC in the Shortcuts app > Create Personal Automation > Scan?
If you do not see it, make sure you have a recent back up of your iPhone and then make sure the software is up-to-date by following the steps here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
