Can I set an app limit for the cumulative time across all devices for a child?

It seems that the app limit I set applies to each of my child’s devices (iPad and iPhone) rather than a cumulative time across all devices. I want to set a 2-hour combined daily limit on my son’s Apple devices, but it seems like it is giving him 2 hours on each device for a total of 4 hours per day.

If Family Sharing’s Screen Time function doesn’t allow cumulative time limits, I hope Apple sees the value of this feature and adds it soon!

Hello BigGuy1132

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

"Use Screen Time on all your devices

To share your Screen Time settings and reports across all your devices, make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID on each device and Share Across Devices is turned on.

  1. Go to Settings  > Screen Time.
  2. Scroll down, then turn on Share Across Devices."

More information can be found here: Keep track of your screen time on iPhone

Hopefully this helps.

Cheers!
