Music playing while viewing photos

How can I get rid of the horrid canned music that plays every time I try to look at photos on my iPhone? It makes looking at pictures a horror.

The feature cannot be turned off completely but you can delete memories in For You and tap see less frequently. It will be a full time job.

Put in a feature request to be able to turn off these collections easily.

I really want to remove this feature completely. Turning off the volume is inconvenient, and to my mind the automatically “curated collections” are a negative value. They remind me of the disks of photo memories of the deceased that funeral directors give out to the bereaved. Is there any way to get rid of all of this and just store some pictures on the phone until I can download them to an external drive?

P.S. I have had this IPhone three years and never looked at this feature before.

It only plays if you view a curated collection for a date, person or location.

Don't watch collections, or tap the music icon and change the music, or turn the volume down. . .
