CHARGE BATTERY

I have had my MacBook Air M1 since Thursday however it came in at 40% battery, I set it up and put it on charge.

I've used it up to today on that charge and put it back on once it got to 30%.

So currently my Mac has 2 charge cycles, is that too many?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.3

No, it is not too many. However, there is no requirement to attempt to micromanage the charge process. If your normal usage is to charge - use - charge, the battery cycles will accumulate quickly. As a simple rule of thumb: if you are near an AC outlet, use it on AC power. If you need portability, use it on battery power.
