Problems upgrading from Mojave

I have the Mojave 10.14.6 version. I am trying to upgrade to Monterrey but my microsoft office is not compatible. So I downloaded a new version of office (one time purchase). But it says I need 10.15 or higher. When I go to dowload Catalina from the app store it won't install it because it says I need the 10.15 version to install it (I believe it is the 10.15.7 version on the app store). But I can't find this original version anywhere. Please help! I am stuck with a new office I can't install because I can't figure out how to upgrade to 10.15 to install it.

The Age of this computer will Govern what newer version of macOS it will Qualify to install. Use About this Mac from the Apple Icon on Desktop - the required Information will be there.

With the above information in-hand - follow this How to get old versions of macOS and verify what version this computer Qualifies to install.  For Best results use Safari to commence the download as Others may not work.

Safari will open a redirect and open the Apple Store where the download can commence.

macOS Catalina 10.15 hardware requirements

The Only FULL Version of Catalina is offered by via the Apple Apps Store and it is version 10.15.7.

Thank you for this reply! I have a macbook air 2018 13" Retina. I had been using Chrome and could not upgrade to Catalina with the link I followed on that webpage - it said I needed 10.15 to upgrade to Catalina. I tried using Safari after reading your reply and was able to download Catalina with no issue.

Thanks so much for your help!
