Missing Documents Folder in Finder
Hey, I have been using my old Macbook Air for a long time and, although it doesn't really bother me as much as it occupies extra "hidden" storage, my Documents folder has disappeared from my Finder Favorites. I found this odd the moment I got my Macbook Air (early 2015) since my old Macbook Pro (early 2011) has no problems surrounding this issue.
I tried turning off the iCloud share option since I barely have files on my iCloud (and because most of them are in the GDrive) to no avail. It just makes shortcuts to my files that won't open or won't allow adding or deleting of files until I turn that option on again. We tried bringing the laptop to iStore twice to have it checked but (since I was busy at school and my Dad doesn't really understand the problem) the iStore technicians find it as a "simple fix" only to turn on that option again.
I find this issue annoying because I'd have to access the internet to access my files. I use my own Apple ID on this which further confuses me as to why I don't have an administrative option over my Macbook Air. I also tried dragging the Documents Folder from the Manage Storage view (Apple Logo>About This Mac>Storage>Manage>Documents) but it refreshes back to the former the next time I turn my Mac on again.
I tried options from articles regarding this issue from websites on Google to no avail. I believe I tried everything I could think of but I found no fix to the issue. In the end, I resorted to having both an external hard drive and a flash drive.
Does anyone know a fix for this issue? Thank you.
