Powering off issue

My 2019 MacBook Pro will turn on when slightly shaken or bumped after shutting it off. If I put it in my laptop bag, it turns on and will overheat in my bag. How do I stop this?

MacBook Pro 2017 It overheats, and now the pinwheeling, goes on and on and on. How to stop this from overheating! I've done a blow out, but what more?

With few details, guessing is in order. Are you by chance just closing the lid? If so, that puts your MBP to sleep; it doesn't shut it down.
