Mac App Store stuck downloading

I have M1 Mac Mini and I attempted to install the Ticket to Ride iPad version app. It has been in waiting status for several days. I have searched two to cancel but nothing has worked.

  • Option key to jiggle, click x to cancel.
  • Deleted App Store preference folder.
  • Canceled processes in Activity Monitor
  • Signed out of Apple ID in App Store, signed into another account, back into the original account.
  • Restarted computer.

Is there a for sure way to cancel this download?

Mac mini, macOS 12.3

Thank you for your suggestions, ACW_13.

  • Option key to jiggle, click x to cancel.

This was the first suggestion which I have tried many times. I click to confirm to delete but it never deletes and stays as if I never clicked the X in corner and continues to jiggle.

I have also already searched my computer for any reference to Ticket to Ride or just "ticket" but no application appears in Applications folder or anywhere on system for me to delete.

I have tried the following processes as well with no positive resolution.

  • Deleted App Store preference folder.
  • Canceled processes in Activity Monitor
  • Signed out of Apple ID in App Store, signed into another account, back into the original account.
  • Entered into App Store page for app to cancel/restart. The app status appears to have a spinning circle indicating it is trying to do something. I click on it and it stutters but continues to spin.
  • Restarted computer.

The mystery continues. As it turns out, I cannot download or purchase any content from my Mac. I've had three calls with support and they continue to ask the same questions. We did discover since I was on a beta update program I wasn't getting the most current normal update - so that is now fixed.

The last call with Support ended with a dropped call. They didn't call me back. So, I'm going to try repairing my OS with a safe install.

The day this occurred, I installed a couple other apps and did not have any issues. I rarely install apps to the M1 mini as there are simply not software or games that are compatible I would use. The appeal of the M1 would be the possibility to play iOS apps on it. Hit or miss there. I haven't had any other issues like this. Just the Ticket to Ride for iPad app.
