PHPhotosErrorDomain won’t stop popping up.

I am struggling to solve this error code that frequently pops up when I am trying to save a photo to my camera roll. It shows up on google, pinterest, and other apps. I have updated my phone, updated all the apps, restarted my phone, contacted support from the other apps (which they had no idea what was going on), and i even tried going through the settings on my iPhone 12 Pro.

My question is…

Is there a fix to this error or is this something I will have to wait out? (wait for updates) Thank you in advance!

Greetings ergogo2,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities!

With the error code you mentioned, it seems like the file type may not be supported by the Photos app. The supported file types include HEIF, JPEG, RAW, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEVC and MP4 as outlined here: Set up and use iCloud Photos

When saving a photo from apps, are you using Haptic Touch to pull up the option to save the photo, or how is this being done? If you haven't tried this method, give it a try to see if the image is able to be saved. If you're unsure what Haptic Touch is, check out the following resource: Change 3D or Haptic Touch sensitivity on your iPhone

If you see that the previous information isn't helpful as the requirements are met, are you experiencing this through Safari as well, or does this happen with specific apps?

We hope that information may help to point to what is occurring, but if not be sure to answer the previous question and provide more details for a better understanding.

Have a great day!
