Ik heb geprobeerd de NVRAM opnieuw in te stellen om dat mijn imac 27 inch Retina eind 2014 bleef steken in een update van Sierra naar Big Sur. (Alt+cmd+p+r)
Het scherm blijft zwart, na enige tijd maakt hij een start geluid en verschijnt het apple logo maar na weer enige tijd wordt het scherm weer zwart. Dit blijft zich eindeloos herhalen.
Wat kan ik doen om hier uit te komen?

Op het moment dat tijdens het opstartproces het Apple-logo verschijnt, is wanneer de Mac probeert kernelextensies (apparaatstuurprogramma's) te laden. Het kan zijn dat een of meer ervan ontbreken of beschadigd zijn tijdens de mislukte upgrade naar Big Sur.
Op dit moment raad ik u aan te overwegen uw Mac opnieuw op te starten in de herstelmodus en te proberen macOS Big Sur opnieuw te installeren.
At the point, during the startup process, that the Apple logo would appear is when the Mac is attempting to load kernel extensions (device drivers). It may be possible that one or more of them are missing or corrupted during the failed upgrade to Big Sur.
At this point, I suggest that you consider restarting up your Mac in Recovery Mode, and try reinstalling macOS Big Sur again.

Thanks, i will try that again. It was what i did first before i did the NVRAM command. But it took so long that i gave up and than i tried the NVRAM command.
How long do i have to push cmd+r button after restarting? The screen is still black After 35 minutes. No apple logo appears. Is my Mac ‘dead’ or are there other things i can try?
I tried again after cutting off the power and it worked! My mac came back to life! Let’s see if i can install Big Sur now.
