dictionary/thesaurus on Mac IOS 12.3

Hi all,

Following an update of Monterey, I noticed the Dictionary application does not display a thesaurus tab/option for any words. More odd, only Wikipedia seems to be accessible. New Oxford and Oxford American English (US) are empty and coming up blank for basic nouns, verbs, I think everything.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello mctwistfast,

To ensure everything is configured as desired, we'd want to check out some settings.

Launch the Dictionary app, and head to the Dictionary menu at the upper-left of the screen. Then, select Preferences in the list. In the Preferences window you'll have various checkboxes for sources to have the app use. Be sure to enable the ones you wish to use.

If your desired options are already enabled, try disabling them, restart the Mac, and then re-enable them. You may need to try relaunching the app afterwards as well.

Cheers.
