iPhone 8 messaging issue

My iPhone 8 all of a sudden stopped alerting me when I get a text message. I’ve turned focus off, made sure Do Not Disturb mode is off, restarted my phone, double checked that it’s not just certain contacts. The phone still rings and vibrates when someone calls. Super frustrating.
