My HomePod just stops playing my music?

I have a HomePod and when I try to listen to my playlist using Itunes on my laptop it randomly plays either part of a song or one song and and half of the next song it stops and then it sometimes will all of a sudden start playing again. I am at a loss at what is causing it to do this? Does anyone else ever have this problem, if so what can I do to fix it? I thought maybe my internet connection is dropped and then resumes, but my laptop isn't disconnected? Thanks for any help with this problem, it is very frustrating...

Hi Mnms,

-In addition to the good advice from Picas, make sure HomePod, Mac (and iPhone) are up to date with the latest software.

-If your HomePod is on the 2.4 Wifi and Mac on 5 Wifi (or vice versa), I've seen some oddities with this. If this is the case, try putting the Mac on the same Wifi wave as the HomePod-->then test it again.

-Reboot both devices, then try a test again. If the issue continues, try switching to a different application that will run continuous audio (to see if this is an iTunes issue).

-If the issue follows to a non iTunes application, try moving the HomePod to the other side of the room.

-Just in case you do have a stereo pair of HomePods, cutting out of AirPlay audio to a stress pair has been noted in other threads (I don't believe there has been a resolution[?]).
