Remote management clamshell mode

Hi there, I have an old MacBook Pro 2015 with Maverik that I access with remote management from my new Macbook pro with M1 chip.

The remote MacBook is connected to power but not to an external display (as I'm accessing it remotely). How do I make it work in clamshell mode?

I tried InsomniaX but when I try to connect while the lid is closed, it doesn't work.

Remote Management works but not in clamshell mode: not if no external monitor is connected to the mac in clamshell mode.

I found sort of a workaround: I got one of these dummy HDMI (ghost headless hdmi) plugs that should trick the macbook in clamshell mode into thinking it is connected to an external monitor. Hope this works.
