My Macbook Air with the M1 chip running macOS Monterey 12.3.1 and IPad Pro 4th Gen running IOS 15.4.1 extending the display consistently disconnects and using the same WiFi network with my router about 5 feet away. I'm using a google nest and don't have any other issues with other devices disconnecting.
