Gaming on MacBook Air (M1 silicon)

If I were to install (from the App store) some games on my MacBook Air (M1 silicon), would it:

a) perform okay on the lowest graphics settings

b) potentially damage any component, especially the CPU?

The games I am looking to purchase and install are Borderlands 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, BioShock and BioShock 2.

I would like this laptop to last me 10 years.

Games are just apps. If they are offered by the Apple store you should have no problems. The Mac will get warmer most likely.

Ten years is possible but optimistic. How optimistic is impossible to say. For us, five years is max if for no other reason than to keep up with technology and security needs.

Pretty good article here: https://www.macworld.co.uk/news/how-long-macbooks-last-3783678/
