I'm trying to add a Google account to my iPhone XS (IOS 15.3.1), but after I enter a user name, but progress bar hangs about 1/3 of the way across the screen. I can't log into Google using Safari. I have no problem with my iPad or Mac.
I've tried clearing all Safari experimental features, but this didn't help.

Same problem with iPhone 7, iOS 15.3.1.
Tried to add new Google account to Gmail app, but instead of password request I'm watching endless loader after login filling.
Thought it's an app glitch, tried to do this in Safari or in Settings - result is same.
OK, I got it fixed, but I'm not sure exactly what did it.
On my iPhone I went to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Web Data and cleared out any cookies related to Google. Restarted Safari, but it still hung when I entered my username.
Tried the same, but instead of just Google cookies, I eliminated all of them. Still had the problem.
My VPN was inactive, but I started and stopped my VPN and it worked.
Most of the ideas for this round of attempts came from support.google.com
I am unable to understand, you said you are trying to add a google account using Safari? Can you please clarify this?
