Delayed notifications on iPhone 13 using cellular data

Hey Apple,

I am having problem regarding delayed notifications in iPhone 13 it is running on ios 15.4.1. It is very annoying when iPhone is connected to wifi i don’t face this issue but when i am on cellular data then notifications are delayed even internet speed is good. I am facing this issue with all the apps and background refresh is on wifi and cellular data. Still facing the issue. I think this is the problem with ios.

Brother, my notification problem is solved. If you have done all the troubleshooting then change your carrier network.

I am in India so i was using airtel sim now I have ported my number to Jio and now notifications are working fine.

Just change you carrier and sim.

I think you are 100% correct. I tried my wife’s SIM card in my phone. She is on a different network and everything was working properly. When I put my sim in her phone, I have the same delayed notifications. I will try a few days and see how it goes.

I am having the exact same problem. On wifi everything is fine but on mobile data, notifications are delayed. I am on iphone 12.

I have apple support looking into this at the moment and will get a call back tomorrow. Hopefully they have a fix.

Got a call back today. No solution yet. Had me download and install a profile, and then recreate the delayed notification issue. Everything’s been passed on to their escalation/engineers.

I will get another call back on Monday and will keep you updated.

Still investigating. They want me to try a few more things. I need a normal picture message texted to me not using iMessage or third party app and see if I receive it instantly or is it delayed. I also need to login to appleid.apple.com from a different device and see if I get a notification straightaway.

Another call back is scheduled for Monday now.

This is getting very annoying and frustrating.

Have you contacted them?

Though I am still testing but till now my results are positive. I will update you for 3 days. In 3 days if my notifications are working fine in cell data when sim is changed that means there was the problem in carrier only.

i just wanted to let you know that i have been with a new network for five days now and I haven’t had a single problem. You were right.
