If I need a new version of Microsoft Drive that is compatible with Monterey, does this apply to Microsoft Word? I don't use Microsoft Drive. If I do need a new one,
can I simply download it from Microsoft?

Your question is unclear, but the article you posted does not apply to Word, only to the Microsoft Drive.
Not to blow you off, however there simply not a lot of MS users on these forums. I would recommend posting on the Microsoft hosted forums and seeing what you can find.
