how to manually add a person face to photos app

When you cannot move or adjust the circle around the face, you have two options:

1. Click in the background outside the faces circle to move the focus away from the Info. Usually we can then drag or adjust the new faces circle.
2. Or type the name of the person into the "click to name" field below the faces circle, where ever Photos has put the circle. Then you can drag the named circle to the correct position. This is very convenient in a group photo with many people and overlapping name fields.

Sometime I had to close photos or even to restart the Mac to be able to position faces circles correctly.

Sometimes closing the ‘Info’ box helps :)

I just started trying to get my iCloud photo faces up to scratch and found this issue immediately.

As readers of another post I’ve recently made (comparing Face recognition in Google and iCloud photos - TL;DR Google much, much better), I probably won’t waste much more time on this. In some areas, iCloud Photos ‘just doesn’t work’.

Good idea! Anything to get the focus away from the Info.
