How to convert an imovie (mp4) to a screensaver

The clip that I am trying to use was originally a gif that I tried to convert into a screensaver directly. I tried GIFpaper and AnimatedGIF from Github, but neither worked with the MacOS Monterey. So I tried converting the GIF into an mp4, but now I'm really confused about how to turn it into a screensaver. Is there a safe way to convert the mp4 into a screensaver?
