No sound on Facetime screen recording, microphone WAS on

I was screen recording an important facetime call tonight and when it was finished, there was no sound. The microphone was turned on (and you can see that it is turned on in the video) but there's no sound at all until the very end when I hung up the facetime call to make a regular phone call (all while still screen recording). I can hear my voice and the phone call conversation, but nothing during the facetime call. I've never had this issue before; I actually recorded a facetime call last night and the video came out just fine, with sound.

It's a very important video and I'm wondering if there's any way to recover the sound?

Based on the details you provided, this sounds like expected behavior.

In which apps besides FaceTime does it not record audio while screen recording?

Which model are you using, and what's the OS version number installed?

Hello,

I only use the screen recorder for FaceTime calls. I haven't had issues with it before; the sound has always recorded. This time, however, there is no sound at all.

I've attempted to make more screen recordings of my FaceTime calls since then. A few had no sound and 1 had sound. There were no differences in apps used. The recordings are between me and my son while he plays Roblox and it hasn't changed. Sometimes the screen recordings have sound, sometimes they don't.

I'm using an iPhone 12 Pro Max

iOS 15.4.1

Hi! Yes, the issue occurs when my son isn't playing Roblox/games at all. This afternoon, for example, we started a Facetime call and I started the screen recording (microphone was on). He was not playing Roblox and we were just talking. There was no sound on the recording in this instance.

On the 13th, I recorded a FaceTime call as usual and he was playing Roblox. The sound was completely fine in this screen recording.
